In what is sure to become a growing trend, Democratic Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein are now asking Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to bailout California cities and counties to the tune of $250 million!

Personally I wish Feinstein would resign because she is pro-corporations but I am grateful that she & Senator Boxer are seeking assistance for California which, we expect, will be provided by the federal government. We in the West are tired of sending our tax money to Washington DC for corrupt & criminal Bush failures. Now we want it back!

I am suirprised that Feinstein isn't blaming this on greenspan. California needs to corrct their own spendign habits. The state can have a loan but cities just need to suck it up.

How about rolling up the welcome mat for illegals. That might save a few pennies.

So California is responsible for the immigration problem? If the federal government managed the border we wouldn't have the huge number of migrants. Once here, it is very difficult to do anything but make sure the migrants have food & shelter & care\schooling for their kids [that is not going to change]. The problem is the poor federal response.

But the bailout for California & other states is certainly justified considering how much tax money goes to Bush's failures in the Middle East [people hate him so much here

Of course cities like San Fransicko designating itself as a sanctuary city for illegals has nothing to do with the illegal problem

The feds owe it to CA for all the federal prisoners being held that the state isn't being compensated for. Bail out, h3ll no... give CA what they owe!

Los Angeles is also a sanctuary city [we don't send them back because that is not our responsibility]. The issue is controlling the flow of migrants over the border which is 100 miles away from LA & the feds are suppose to be guarding it not the state of California. So if Bush refuses to do his job of protecting the borders then once here, Mexicanos can stay [that is the California position]. Now we need federal assistance to take care of all the people.
