With the election just a few days away. Is there any hope that whoever gets elected will bring jobs back to the United States that have already been outsourced?

That is what I would like to know as well.
Somehow I doubt that this will be a priority for either candidate, though.

No those jobs will never come back. They've been going for years under both party Presidents.

under McCain, passably, depends on what he does with cooperate taxes. Obama? Hell no, he has already said he wants to raise cooperate taxes.

Depends on how you feel about paying too much for products you really don't like. Americans have been choosing to buy better products cheaper. If other Americans can't be competitive, I can't see any reason for business to come back.

This is the real problem:

"No American politician has shown leadership on the issue of globalisation and outsourcing. To do so would mean that they must challenge the power of global financial firms, many of whom are their biggest campaign financiers." Vijay Prashad, Counterpunch

One answer is to have public campaign financing only - to cut these global financial firms out of the picture, and next to curtail their lobbying (legalised bribery) power.

This should be one of the top campaign issues. I want to know what both candidates will be doing to bring our jobs back here. And I don't accept the fact that our jobs are gone for good - completely unacceptable!

Obama at least has been addressing the issue. He is promoting tax credits for companies that hire on American workers. I don't see that being extremely effective but it is a start. I have not heard McCain mention anything other than we need to offer community college classes to laid off workers whose jobs get outsourced.

Outsourcing is more then just factory jobs these days. IT jobs are being outsourced to India all the time, only they are called 'offshore resources' or 'consultants'......either way, those are jobs that can and should be filled by american citizens.

Yep...employers like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, etc are outsourcing alot of their technical service jobs and laying of Americans. They're utilizing call centers in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, etc. A friend of mine got laid off last year this very way.
