It's not really up to anyone else to 'agree' or 'disagree' with...gay people exist, so there's nothing to decide upon. The biggest challenge facing gays and lesbians is finding a sense of self-worth in world that doesn't value us...and it's evident in the words of a 20 year old that he is struggling with his natural feelings vs. homophobes telling him those feelings are wrong and they don't agree with it. Fratman, you keep a positive attitude...and don't listen to the negative comments intended to make you feel guilty and less worthy; just listen to your heart and do the things you know are right and natural for you.
We all go thru an internal struggle of some sort and it's hard enough without outside negative inflences. I was 21 when I realized I couldn't fight my natural tendancies anymore...I was a senior in college and in a fraternity. By the way, it gets a hellofalot easier as more time goes by...parents, friends, co-workers eventually accept it if they remain in your life. Plus, the older you get the more you really don't care about people's anti-gay prejudices. One day they will learn to live THEIR lives and they will be required to allow us all of the civil rights that everyone enjoys so we can live OUR lives.

Dorothy Parker said it best
"Heterosexuality is not normal, it's just common"

Let's just let the people that think homosexuality is deviant die off, give it 50-60 years. Homosexuality will be a non-issue. Only a matter of time. I have yet to hear a logical argument as to why homosexuality is inherently bad. Please, for those against it, prove me wrong. GIVE ME AN ARGUMENT THAT SHOWS HOMOSEXUALITY IS A BAD THING. Go on. I am waiting....

Basically some good feedback for you, fratman5.
You are a worthy person for a good life; live it as your heart tells you & never let bigotry\ignorance get you down.

homosexuality is a choice. it's not debatable. heterosexuality is also a choice. people are born gay, but the act of engaging in sex, with anyone, is a choice.

Just like you have a choice of being celibate, could you be celibate for the rest of your life? I think most heterosexuals take that "choice" for granted.

homosexuals leads to asexuality, which is detrimental to the population and the physco-social norms of human nature. as long as it stays under control, unlike a virus, than there is no use or incentive to prosecute and oppress against the sexually backword and confused.

??? I think there are a lot more celibate 'straight' people than there are celibate homosexuals, a lot more. In fact there are a lot of celibate people period. At the same time the population keeps growing by leaps and bounds because for people to whom those psyho-social norms really take importance have 3,4,5 - 18 kids and think nothing of it. If you were right not only would there not be any incentive to oppress gay people we should actually worship them. Openly. My main departure with the o.p. is that his entire rant is more about the acceptance, or not, of the gay lifestyle period and nothing about interracial relationships. Seems a disingenuous way to continue the gay debate. Everything the o.p. says about gayness could also be ascribed to the way pedophiles feel about their lifestyle. Everything. Why do gays feel themselves superior to other deviant classes? Why do gays feel that being gay is so... .. normal?! It isn't, it can't be, simple biology will tell one this. If it was anyone's business I could fess up about some urges that, well... blush... not gay ones! Let's be clear on that, ok. See, this is all very uncomfortable isn't it? A little too much information. But there it is. Gay people, get over yourselves, you are living in one of the better epoch's (and sovereign's) in which to be gay. It isn't perfect I'll admit but what is? I'd much rather have an open and accepting society of me as a black male where with my intellect and talent I could with relative ease work my way up to, say, $150K/yr. It would have taken way less time with that kind of income to find me some lovin'. You wouldn't hear a peep out of me after that. I'd be too busy CENSORED
