Default Worst Vice Presidential Candidate in United States History?

Other than Palin, who tops the list and Dan Quayle who runs a close second, what other Vice Presidental candidates, going back to the American Revolution, rank amongst the worst in United States History.

"Once there were two brothers. One went away to sea; the other was elected vice president. And nothing was heard of either of them again." - the all too typical story of a Vice President ... most recently Walter Mondale, Al Gore and Dan Quayle. Btw you aren't predicting Palin is going to VP are you?

Depends on your criterion of badness. I think Palin and Quayle would have to be nudged out by Aaron Burr, at a minimum.

Thomas A. Hendricks (1884) was the subject of arguably the worst campaign jingle in U.S. history:

We'll shout for our man and his important appendix!
We'll whoop'er up lively for Cleveland and Hendricks!

MOD CUT do you mean "Other than Palin"?

I am so sick of people bashing Palin. What has she done that you think is so evil? Tell me.....

Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel and tried to slice off part of the United States. I'm sorry, whatever the failings of Gore, Quayle, Palin, or anyone else in modern times, they are not in quite that league.

Of-course the absolute worst vice-president is the current criminal who has brought nothing but shame on our nation. The Dick Cheney will hopefully be indicted for his crimes soon after President Obama comes into power. Both Bush & Cheney will need to answer to the American people how they managed to totally screwup our country & the world before we put them both in prison for life!
