This is a terrible idea. People will always find something to fight about and there will be liberals and conservatives withing each of the liberal and conservative countries. There will be fights between the left and far left and the right and far right. Why do you think we have so many different kinds of churches?

The concept of Yin and Yang is age old yet true forever. The only path to success is moderation.

I don't want to read this whole thread to see if this has already been pointed out, but you're leaving out the nation's largest voting bloc....the independents who hang out in the middle where everyone belongs.

Largely due to two reasons:

1) We have no voice in the primaries. So we end up presented with ideologues from either side. Our choices are perpetually either a giant douche or a turd sandwich and

2) The thing about centrists is we're on balance centrists. It doesn't mean we don't have right leanings or left leanings on various things. Myself, for example, I am socially liberal (within reason) but fiscally conservative. There are others who are the opposite, some who are in the middle on everything, etc. We're too fractured to unite and put an end to the 2 party bullcrap.

Why do this when only 20% of Americans are liberal?

Why not just ask the lowest group to leave or cuddle up in SF California or something.

Why should the majority of us ( CONSERVATIVES ) make room for the party of hell no anymore?

Obama has divided this country more then anyone in history. He is doing this on purpose. Read the Alinsky way of getting people riled and fighting.

There are even more Tea Party members then total liberals so why give anything to a liberal.

After the last 4 years of them in total control of congress you saw what we got and we do not want anymore of it.

Liberalism is a dying thing in America thanks to the gift of Obama who showed us that liberals are NOT GOOD for America.

you may wish to check your facts

every generation is more socially liberal than the one before it. that doesnt look good if your a conservative

and further, many people say they are conservative, when, in fact they are not. they just like the way it sounds...
