The African Americans have got what they wanted, but won't still be happy:
1. They had to wait for so long and endure hardship. Hardship they feel they were above due to the 200 plus years of slavery.
2. In the words of Jesse Jackson - "Hes not black enough". Jackson was talking about Obama. Will the blacks riot because of the colour of Obama. Do they want a real, dark, black President?
Ouch! Race. So edgy, haha. I know if I was black that I would be elated that Obama won. I myself am Italian and would love to see an Italian president. Especially, since many Italians came here as slaves also. Hey, where's my victim status? Just kidding.
I, being white probably disqualifies me from speaking on this matter, would think that blacks would be happy to a president of color even if it is not the dark chocolate variety. Actually, Obama is whiter than I could ever be, being that he is Mister Ivy League and hob-nobs with all of the socialist elites.
Usually, an educated black guy is raked over the coals in politics, but being a commie has made him untouchable on the national scene. Now if he was a regular guy living in L.A. his brothers would probably kill him for being an Uncle Tom, but being that he is president will make him tolerable to his people. You take what you can get. I would think that they never really believed that white america would elect him in the end. Haha.
I love it. Just think how hard it is going to be to whine about how racist we are now! How racist can America really be if around forty million white people voted for him? How brutally unfair is our system to blacks if one can rise to the level of president? I think it serves as perhaps the greatest wake-up call to the black culture ever. I am eagerly awaiting their response.
That being said, you know that anything that goes wrong with this commie kook in power, is going to be blamed on some secret conspiracy to make blacks look bad. Then you will hear the black community say that he really isn't one of them, being brain-washed by white university to be non-black. If he does well, then it will be in spite of having been raised in a white family. The victim groups always play both sides without any scrutiny at all.
His race was never an issue with me personally. He is a communist, that I hate, but that has nothing to do with color. I look at blacks the same way as I do every ethnicity, as simply a different culture within a larger culture with their own unique interests and prejudices. Not good or bad per se, just different.
1. The blacks suffered injustices in America as have every minority group that came here, albeit with greater intensity than most. Their struggle to become equal, after slavery, was prolonged only because of their collective unwillingness to conform to the rest of the culture. They still suffer because of their stubborness to adapt to this day. We whites are still in part responsible for this because we granted them victim status and allow all sorts of unacceptable behavior to take place in their community that we would never allow another minority group to engage in. The victim mentality that we gave them only prolonged their adaptation to the greater society.
2. I was secretly wondering whether blacks would run around burning cities in celebration of Obama's victory. I know that it makes no sense, but they have destroyed their own communities for things as trivial as sports championships before. Gladly, that did not happen.
What we have to see now is whether or not there is some kook out there willing to take him out or not. If that happens, game over. Charles Manson will be in heaven. Picture military in the streets killing Americans. Good, if like me, you see our nation as a socialist cesspool. Not so good, if you are a socialist who is happy with the way things are. We'll see.
Is skin color of any import? I just hope Obama has what it takes to make this country (not a select group) better, stronger and more productive. I would hope that of ANY elected official.

Well typically its what is seen on the outside but there are plenty of "whitewashed" dark skinned Americans.
