I realize that to enchant the average FoxNews viewer you don't have to be a great wordsmith, just use a polysyllabic word when another, shorter word will do; "knowledgeability" vs "knowledge". But enough about Karl Cameron (I think that's who it was).
But Bill Kristoll is an educted guy, I realizes that he changes his opinion faster than Bill Clinton changed his story, but today he outdid himself. He was talking about Obama's election eve speech, and he noted that he had "always considered Obama a skillful politician, just not a very empathetic one".
I really wish Kristoll would know what a word means before he tosses it intot he mix of one of his (often confusing) columns. Obama's entire rise, Harvard Law Review, State Senator, US Senator, President-elect, has been all about his being empathetic. He's always been able to get people who may not agree with him to realize that promoting him may be the best outcome for them.

Kristol knows exactly what the word means. He also knows that the Fox viewers are very gullible and can easily be told exactly the opposite of the truth, and will swallow it. But it is still an odd remark. He shoud lknow that the viewers of Fox News hate empathetic politicians. Unless he meant empathy for corporate executives and big stockholdes and military officers.
