Gay marriage isn't a civil rights issue. It's a moral issue. Just like we don't allow brothers and sisters to marry, we shouldn't allow the same sex to marry.  |

I agree it is a moral issue that is between 2,not the whole country.
I also think abortion is a moral between a women and her god not her country.
So for us as a country to tell people how their morals should be is wrong.

The biggest argument against incest has been the malformed offspring. The biggest argument against homosexuality has been the inability to produce offspring. Conclusion: your comparison sucks.

As others have said--not comparable.
Also, it is often brought up that in Loving v. Virginia, marriage was decided to be one of the "basic rights of man." ( FindLaw | Cases and Codes) In that case, I think you'd have to have a more compelling argument against allowing someone "basic rights" that is not inability to produce offspring or denial of some supposed Biblical mandate.
And as a side note, I'm sorry that city-data ever added that painfully stupid "thumbs up" smilie. |
