Well, how do you explain people growing up heterosexuals and turning gay in their 20's, 30's, 40's?
Im assuming those people didnt "turn" gay when they were in their 20's 30's 40's...maybe that's when they decided to go public.
I can not wait until it is legal so individuals dont have to hide and lie about their sexual preferences. It will honestly make it easier for everyone.
This thread seems to have gotten off the topic of black people against gay marriage. Can someone please put it back on track?
Anyway, someone already said that black voters make up a small minority of voters in California, and the main ethnic group that decided to vote for banning gay marriage in California is white. So there you go.
You also have to keep in mind black men/white women are definitely not the only interracial couples in the U.S. I see a huge number of white men/latina couples and white men/asian women couples as well. Why do people always think interracial marriage is only black and white?

First of all, let me ask you this; Can you ever envision yourself having sex with someone of the same sex? Voluntarily? See, I can't. But then, I am straight and straight I will be till the day I die. And the same holds true for you.
People do not suddenly discover they are gay in their 20s, 30s, or 40s --- they knew all along. They just tried to deny it and/or hide it. I'm sure all of those individuals who even married and had kids kept a stash of gay porn around, or had a life noone knew about outside of his marriage. And that is the crux of it, don't you see? Making people feel that they have a choice about their sexuality when they clearly do not makes some people make very bad decisions trying to live up to the expectation that if only they 'prayed' or find a 'nice girl' they would 'straighten up'. Well they can't. And a lot of lives are hurt that way.
As to why they would try to hide their sexuality or hope to god it just might change.....well, check out these posts and try to imagine some of the posters as you parent, sibling, grandparent, friend. That is why gay people deny till their 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond.
This is ridiculous.....you mean to tell me one way to deny/hide being homosexual is actually by practicing heterosex in the eyes of the public?
Yes.....ask the women whose husbands have come out as gay....their sex lives are nonexistent.
I tell you it is as impossible for me to become gay as it is for a gay person to become straight. I feel no ambiguity about my sexuality, and luckily my sexuality is in line with the majorities. No problems for me Not so much the case if I were lesbian, though.

Hell yes. I've known lots of guys who got married young, thinking they could bury their attractions to men. It never works!
