This whole gay marriage in Ca and Black voters is nothing but thinly veiled racism and brings out those who were/are waiting for a chance at racially opportunistic attacks.
The NAMBLA are not homosexuals. They are pedophiles.
The word homosexual means same sex, look it up in the dictionary. There are no rules defining age. Another fact most homosexuals were molested as children by same sex. percentage wise far pedophilia has been done by the homosexual than straight people and that is a fact. I am not being mean but giving a warning that this is dangerous for our society as we have known it since the beginning of time.
Look...it should not be race based. One should realize that there are a lot of social reasons why the majority of Blacks voted that way. Also it should be noted that the majority of Orange County, which does not have a significant Black population voted yes on 8. Look at SW Riverside County (it is 60% white non-Hispanic) voted yes on 8. Look at the social reasons that have a common theme. SW Riverside County, Inland and Southern OC (exception being Laguna Beach) are the bible belts of SoCal. Blacks have a higher rate of church attendance than whites...on average (the exception being hispanics whites). Hispanics also voted yes on 8. Lower socio-economic groups voted yes on 8 (regardless of skin color). Lower education groups voted yes on 8. 30% of Blacks voted no on 8. Most likely they were not as religious, more educated, and possibly more affluent. My brother voted no on 8, so did I...we are half Black. Both college educated, non-religious, and come from an upper-middle class background. So you see, it is racist to blanket a race without looking at the things that unite voters. Its not race based, its social based (religion, income, location, and education).

Very good points. Thank you for posting. I admit that I was starting to have anti-black sentiments. I'm glad you pointed out the truth - that the vote was mostly based on socio-economic status.

It is frustrating when we are censored but this is a private forum and we are subjected to their rules.
Well, since a minority like gays and lesbians cannot get married, or the right was taken away, then blacks should not be allowed to marry white people. Let’s put it up for popular votes and bask in the idea of non-equality for the blacks. I am not being racist. But maybe it will remind them of when they sat in the back of the bus. Maybe then they will be more open about gay marriage and EQUAL RIGHTS for every one.
Any man and woman can get married, just as it should be.

I have some data that would put lie to everything you say you 'know'....please read it. Again (and for the third time) I ask you --- since rapes tend to be male on female, and most sexual abuse is done to little girls does that mean all heterosexual males should be suspect of deviance? As a mother I look at these statistics (real ones, not just 'what I know') and I by using your logic, would have to say that straight men are the most dangerous predators in our society.
Maybe we need a special amendment to allow straight males restricted civil rights.....after all, they cannot be trusted.
In 1995, local child protection service agencies identified 126,000 children who were victims of either substantiated or indicated sexual abuse.
Of these, 75% were girls.
Nearly 30% of child victims were between the age of 4 and 7.
