I'm sorry to read that, Niki. Horrible either way.

Yes, I have some gay friends. Their orientation is irrelevant, they are still friends.

I have a couple gay friends and have several gay acquaintances. Most of them act like normal people and you wouldn't even know they were gay but a few of them are over the top flamboyant which really annoys me... I mean, I can't even stand girls who act like that.

20%... Doesn't that number disprove homosexuality as strictly a natural occurrence?

Everyone knows someone gay, you just don't know it unless the person tells you. Not all are "out".

The best roommate I ever had was gay. He and I would go the the mall and pick up guys.

I remember when he came out to me (I had already figured it out)

He asked: "Do you hate me now?"
I asked back:"Were you gay yesterday?"
Him: "yeah"
Me:"Well I liked you yesterday so I guess I still like you today."

We're still best of friends.

That is a very exaggerated number - even pro-homosexual groups claim only 10% of the population. Other more accurate estimates place the number at 2%.

This is a very sweet story - and kudo's to you for seeing the person, not a label

One of my favorite sisters is a lesbian, and soon, my future brother-in-law is gay (I will be proposing to my girlfriend). My gf and I like to joke around sometimes that we get along so well because we both have gay family members.
