Umm...yes, one of my best friends is homosexual. Actually I went to fashion school and work in fashion so I know a LOT of homosexuals. And they make girl's best friends.
My best friend is lesbian. She is one of the most caring, intelligent, generous, funny, and kind people I know. I would probably lose my mind if something ever happened to her.
Aside from her, I work in (and used to live in) an area with a high concentration of gays. Some of my friendships with gay people are more valuable than any others I have ever had. People who have had to fight, tooth and nail, throughout history, tend to have a very keen insight about the world around us.
Now, if I could just get my friend Jessie to stop being so LOUD when we go out for dinner or drinks!

Some are great people. Others have MAJOR issues!! Which is why I believe that not all gays are "born" that way. Some develop tendencies through their life experiences.

So, maybe straight people who have major issues weren't born straight, either. At any rate, I don't know how that means that people weren't "born that way."
Personally, I don't believe that anyone is born with any sexual orientation, but that is another thread!
