The indictment accuses Vice President Dick Cheney of a conflict of interest and "at least misdemeanor assaults" on detainees by working through prison companies.

I wouldn't really take them that serious since itrs in sotuh Texas. Most politicans and DA's l;eave office there by being indicted by the feds. Texas monthly even had a articles on the lack of law enforcement in things like Rape cases etc in one country. Its like part of Mexico it seems.Indictment in Texas is also called a information and a DA can get what he wants.

The DA bringing the charges is a nutcase who lost the last election badly & is just trying to do something controversial on jis way out. The order still needs to be signed by a Federal Judge & that is unlikely to happen

sounds like he is a good candidate for a "presidential pardon". . . . I'm not sure that should be allowed, but it is our current reality!

WOW~ I don't know if I truly surprised at the indictments, but I guess I am more surprised that it has hit the press...will be interesting to see how this plays out....figure plaintiffs winning a massive lawsuit does, however, gives these charges/indictments a bit more meat.....a pardon, I would certainly hope not...

It is largely symbolic (and correctly so!) but I don't think it will come to fruition (even though I would love to see Cheney in the same prison as the terrorists)... I hope people understand the INCREDIBLE importance to keep lobby-tied policitians OUT of office.. and I pray (seriously PRAY) that Obama doesn't bring another Cheney into office (AKA Hilliary Clinton)....

Bush can't pardon posthumously I am sickened by the indictment but am not surprised. Cheney is the worst vice-president serving the worst president this nation has ever had!

Same here.... I can't believe it is being covered at all....The oozing slime that is Cheney usually has Rove pour teflon on him every morning while he gives him his bath.
