And you all think this would be good for our country at this juncture, when despite the horrible economy, people are still feeling hope for the future?

But funny thing - when visiting some of the major news sites from Politico, MSNBC, CNN, Real Clear Politics and even Fox News, there is NO mention of this. The blogsphere, of course, has its share of faux news but when you go to the Supreme Court docket you find 2 Obama related filings; both say "Application denied" by Justice Souter.

If any of the msm deems this worthy of reporting on then maybe we should all pay attention... Until then, we can all disregard this nonsense.

Ain't that a fact, I spent almost an hour looking for a credible source reporting this nonsense and all I could find was scum websites from the putrid underbelly of the internet.

Do you think the FACT that the Supreme Court will be making a decision to consider an Emergency Stay is nonsense?

Kooter you are a perfect example of where a little knowledge, and I mean very little, is like giving a loaded handgun to a child.

No, it happens hundreds of times every session, so having a conference over a filed petition isn't extraordinary in the least.

You are VERY, VERY WRONG! Considering it's concerning a national election, it makes it extremely rare. The Supreme Court is not about to make fools of themselves unless it seems to them up front that the plaintiff has shown cause.

[mod cut] how do you determine if a case has cause or not before reviewing the pleading, or do you think that Supreme Court Justices just watch the news and when they see a petition coming deny or accept it for consideration based upon what they've read or seen?

Another loaded gun in the hands of a child goes off, BANG!

Kooter, you want to know just how unimportant this is to the legal community?

Go to SCOTUSblog THE blog for what is going on at the Supreme Court. It is non-partisan and it is widely recognized as the preeminent site for news about the Court. Search for Berg vs Obama and see what you come up with.
