Palin Pardons Turkey, But Keeps Yakking, and Yakking, and Yakking
this governor is sort of like an energizer bunny, she keeps talking, and talking, and talking....
One thing politicians should know how to do: know when to just shut up.

I saw that last night and couldn't stop LOLing.
Sarah Palin is there to pardon a turkey. A nice gesture, nice photo/video clip opportunity, it's cute and wholesome.
Then she speaks with the press while the turkeys are being slaughtered in the background. I lost it when she said, "It was nice to participate in something that wasn't so heavyhanded politics, and invites criticism. Certainly we'll probably invite criticism for doing this too! But at least this was fun!" As the dying turkey is having convulsions right behind her. It was just such a bizarre moment. I couldn't stop laughing about it.
Also, too, did you catch the part (I'm not sure if it's in the clip posted above), when she was reading the pardon inside the barn? She read something to the effect of, "Whereas the Governor is a lover of all creatures big and small," and immediately kinda laughs under her breath and elbow jabs the guy next to her, as if to say, "Yeah right, I shoot the damn things!" LOL I find these little things to be so very funny.

This should illustrate...
... exactly why some in the GOP are so eager to have her win the presidency. She can be manipulated into doing almost anything. And, she'll do it with a smile.

And the beauty of this is that Romney, Huckabee, Jindahl and about 8 other malcontents are saving this to their "favorites" on you-tube. Schweeet.

So, how are things in brewtown?
yes, what kind of a person grants an interview at a slaughter factory? truly bad taste. they should have at least taken the pardoned turkey to the state office, and done the interview there, and not where they did. so, was this done in poor judgement or poor taste? kinda kooky wasn't it?

Brewtown is cold, very cold. And I'm assuming New Mexico is nice & warm right now, dangit! Poor judgement AND poor taste is what I'm thinking. I still can't get over the guy in the background doing it though. It's like he was keeping an eye on the camera, making sure it caught every movement. Creepy!

The turkey that was "pardoned" was likely first on the chopping block after the cameras stopped rolling. This is a contrived photo opp, you cant expect that to cut into the slaughter house's profit margin, can you?
Overall, just one more incredibly ridiculous thing, in what has been a year full of incredibly ridiculous things.....
