So the whole economy is collapsing into pieces and all Obama can blurt out is "i got the corned beef".

Hey Barry what about that auto industry being driven into the ground by thugs at UAW? "i got the corned beef". That's the answer folks.

Where's the current President? Isn't his name George W. Bush? When did you ever see a company let a FUTURE CEO make decisions prior to his employment? Does the same principal apply?

Why does January 20th ring a bell?

It's a fair criticism. He's the incoming President, and the economy should be at the top of his to-do list. Responding the way he did wasn't appropriate, IMO. He didn't have to lay out his entire plan while standing in a deli, but his response should have demonstrated that he understands the seriousness of the issue.

This statement alone screams "I'm an idiot and I have nothing to offer this discussion."

I'm not sure exactly what your beef is w/this. Bush has dodged answers, I'm sure most presidents have when they're in a downtime just doing their thing.

Barry is the all sensing all caring all feeling messiah, the man of change, the man to lead us from the terrible years of GW Bush(the worst in American history I understand), the man that will find peace with the world, provide universal health care and economic justice for all. Jan 20 is not here yet, but we await the messiah to speak and deliver us from the demons of economic failure we now find ourselves in.

And so far all he said was "i got the corned beef".

And if he started talking about it, it would be:

WHO DOES THE MESSIAH THINK HE IS, ACTING LIKE HE'S THE PRESIDENT BEFORE HE EVEN IS, THE NERVE!

Maybe if he doesn't eat anything until January 20, all of our economic problems will be solved.
