They are not even a real Baptist Church, they are a cult.

People have a right to protest. No gays blocked Christians at the voting booths.

You are right, they just want to circumvent the voting process.

Well you can have an opinion that the moon is made of cheese. But don't expect anybody to take you seriously.

With this kind of behavior the gay community isn't getting more respect and it will cause more intolerance towards their lifestyle.

Since there is freedom of speech, they should allow both sides to give their opion and not by going into businesses and scaring customers away. Some shops have lost so much revenue that they had to fire workers and I can't believe that this is what the gay people want.

The public had a chance to vote and every one had the freedom to go out and say what they had to say and the people have spoken against it. If the gay community don't like it they can follow the legal way to try to change it and behave like people who show respect towards others....this is not the case right now and I'm very disappointed with the gay community and some famous gay people who could speak out and say that if they want to change peoples mind they should do it by talking and discussing what they want and their views on this issue...not by violence and disrespect.
Because liberls are fascists but hide their true intentions.

Because this involves ignoreing a sexual disorder & that involves discrimination. Not alike at all, no matter how much the gay crowd cries about it. If any discrimination is going on its the gay community discriminating against the normal & refusing to let common sense be accepted.

I'm gay. I don't need to learn anything about it from someone who isn't.

Maybe the OP is from another country originally and doesn't speak english that well. Doesn't matter either way, because I got the gist of what they were trying to say, and I don't feel the need to berate them.
OK, perhaps the person is from another country. And I appreciate the concern about berating them.

OK, so it's not OK to "berate" someone for making repeated spelling errors but it IS OK to write that you hope something sets people back 50 years? The key word here is HOPEFULLY which clearly means you oppose gay people having equal (or any) rights. Now explain how it is that criticizing someone for spelling errors is verboten but actually promoting harm to others isn't?

Where being gay is concerned, a non-gay's opinion is always worthless. This is not bigotry it's just logical. If you're not gay your opinion holds no water. Repeat, if you're not gay, your opinion of being gay is not based on experience so it can have no real value. Now, are you learning anything here?

I don't understand why gays get so huffy over a technicality of the word "marriage" vs. Civil Union.

My rights have been abridged before and yet you don't see me out there picketing restaurants who may have supported it.
Christians DO indeed picket gay businesses. If a large company provides benefits to same-sex spouses, you can bet your dollar that Christian groups will be all over them in a usually fruitless and hateful attempt to "correct" their errant ways.

Christians realize that they can't legally discriminate against anybody. But what they have felt compelled to do is to go at such rights at the source by altering/amending state constitutions to disallow what would arguably be constitutionally protected on a national level by the equal protection clause. How this morphs into "evil gays want to circumvent democracy" is astonishing and those who hold that view actually expose their bigotry. Yes, here it is indeed bigotry and the oppression of a minority by a majority (however thin) is still unAmerican.

I personally don't care for gay marriage, but I do want equal rights where my long-term relationship is concerned. The gays protesting this hateful attempt to deny them are entitled to being rude and insensitive like any group that's been oppressed. Are gays supposed to be well-behaved in order to be treated like equal human beings? Sounds like the same argument used throughout history to oppress others.

Being gay is a sexual disorder for YOU, not for gay people. That is common sense.
