Wonder how many dupes are going to believe this one? Saying a thing doesn't make it so. It is an axiom that those societies with moral values and a religious base fare far better than the chaos of a marxist regime. A simple knowledge of history needed here. But I suppose we are due for the grand experiment here on our soil, and the present president-elect the Perfect One to lead the charge. Time will tell if this arrogant author's prattle comes to pass....

Before even reading the article I had to agree somewhat. I have often thought about how much crime has been committed in the name of religion. Take a look at Muslim extremistists. What about the Crusades and The Inquisition. All of these fanatics killed in the name of God. Religion is a dangerous tool when in the hands of ignorant people and misinterpreted to suit the needs of the believer. Religion has been used as propaganda and the hypocrites abound that preach and yet go against the Ten Commandments in the way that they live their lives. People that are dogmatic about religion are way too judgemental and infringe on the private lives of others. It also gives some an excuse to do unforgivable acts feeling that they can just pray the sin away.
And not just Muslim extremists, but look at Christian extremists - bombing abortion clinics, etc. Look at Eric Rudolph - bombing the Atlanta Summer Olympics.

Agreed. Extremists of all kinds who commit heinous crimes/felonies need to go away for a long, long time.
The gulags? Funny people revolted against a government that felt threatened by religion. I swear some of you have to be hard core communist to deny the facts of history.
USSR during it's wonderful suppression of religion was worth what 30 million?

That's exactly what I was going to bring up.
Of course, it could well be argued that atheists are extremely religious people - so the slaughter and mayhem they mete out against humanity could be called religious extremism too.
