Gosh, I wish I had-but my parents, being immigrants (yes, legally) didn't have an understanding of those things (and neither did I, being as young as I was at the time); although my father did go to the pizza place and my boss dealt with some hardcore German wrath!!!! The pizza place went out of business a couple of years later, so I guess that a****** got his...

I wasn't referring to myself. I cannot tell at all who is or isn't based solely on the posts.
It seems to me that some of the posters on here can tell when someone is Christian or non-Christian just by their post, even when they don't say anything religious or anti-religous at all in their posts.

I am an "admittedly" literal (that's literal, not liberal, for the context of this discussion) and can see this both ways. Culturally, in the U.S. "Christmas" is celebrated as a holiday, regardless of religious affiliation. But really, if you know that someone is Jewish, for instance, why not say "Happy Hannukha", or "happy holidays". . . If you are greeting a known Christian, Merry Christmas , or happy Christmas is appropriate. . . When addressing mixed gatherings, Happy Holidays shows respect for all traditions. This is about manners, guys, not religious affiliation!

This is America, dammit, and those folks need to understand that this is a Christian, God-fearing country and Christmas is an American Holiday celebrated in the American way! People all over the world now celebrate Christmas our way.
So, if those Jews or Muslims or Pagans want to be here, they have to accept that this is the way it is or they can go back to their countries! Same goes for those "native" Americans! (And why can't we just call an ***** an *****, anyway? See, now, that's part of the problems.)
If those people really respected us, then they'd feel loved and appreciated when I bestow my wishes for a Merry Christmas upon them. And if they don't, then they are disrespecting me and MY God, so the hell with them, anyway!

I just wish bigots would let Christians have their holiday and celebrate it, without "warring" against it.
Let the Christians have their holiday, it's a free country. Ironically, it's the Muslims that are about the nicest people around to the Christians on Christmas, they NEVER disrespect it or try to hate or undermine it.
Who are the biggest anti-Christmas types anyway? Let's start a list. Muslims are definitely not on it. I haven't noticed much hostility from Asians or Hindus either. I'd say much of the hate comes out of Hollywood which reinforces the other anti-Christian bigots lurking around.

What is the big deal for the Christian bashers against using Merry Christmas that has bee around longer than anyone that is posting here. Go get your own holiday and leave christians alone. It is Christmas. not Musilmas, taomus, athiemus. Get your own holiday and don't forget to buy me somethin nice.
