Most people celebrate Halloween and New Year's Eve, but those aren't national/federal holidays... and even if 100% of Americans celebrated Christmas, that doesn't change the fact that we shouldn't be respecting ONE religious holiday. It's all or nothing in this country, according to how it was founded (freedom of religion). You are free to be as religious as you want, but the government is not supposed to be honoring one over another - no matter how many people belong to it.
FYI, literally 2/3 of the people in my workplace do NOT celebrate Christmas, and yet we all get the day off... so maybe where you live everyone observes it, but this is a diverse country. We're not complaining, but then you have no right to complain when we're forced to take our holidays off in addition (I would gladly trade instead, but that's not an option).

If Obama does get amnesty though this here country is will be majority catholic by 2050.lol

That's fine with me, especially if they're less domineering than the Christian majority. I've always been a minority anyway, so that won't change anything for me... and having grown up in a heavily Hispanic neighborhood, I know they make good neighbors!

Guess what: Most employers - including the Federal Goverment, have chosen to recognized Dec 25th as a holiday. It is a FEDERAL holiday, and/or a STATE holiday -
Face it - Christmas IS a nationally recognized holiday - not only in the US but, around the world.
It is not going to change.
I'd suggest you get over it and move on

Ah, but woe unto he who promulgates the cancellation of said holiday.
So go ahead. Get elected king, Langlen. Then tell everyone to go to work on December 25th.
We'll see that you have a decent burial. And a Merry Christmas!!!!

And I have no problems with private employers recognizing the holiday. However, I am against government recognition of a religious holiday. It is against the establishment clause of the constitution and it is unfair to those of other faiths. Whether or not it's recognized around the world is not the point. It is against the constitution HERE for the government to recognize and celebrate ANY religious holiday.
However, I hold no illusions. I know it will be impossible to make it change, and I know that the outrage if it does change will be deadly. THat's why people are too afraid TO do anything. However, it will not stop me from having such opinions.

So go to work at my office Christmas day. I'll tell security to let you in to clean up.

Then I suggest you get over the fact that people will disagree - and are not afraid to state such opinions. And just because something has "always been this way" that doesn't mean it won't or shouldn't change... otherwise we'd still have slaves, women wouldn't be allowed to vote, and Obama would not be our President-elect. Thank goodness for progress!

Slavery used to be the law of the land.
Women were not permitted to vote.
*shrugs* It may or may not change, but its existence and popularity have nothing to do with the point, no matter how often you insist that they do.
The law is clear.
But apparently, supporting the Constitution is only something to do when it is easy or convenient or popular.
