You still can decorate a tree.

You can still watch football as many do to celebrate Christmas.
You can still get stressed out.
You can still turn your children into greedy screaming monsters.
You can still fight the crowds at the mall.
You can still eat too much.
You can still go to church.
You can still say Merry Christmas.
You can still fight with your relatives.
What are you missing???????

That was my sense of humor... it's that dry, sarcastic Jewish humor - LOL.
(although I was confused at first by your comment!)

Given that the original translates equally well as "young girl," I can understand that.

True dat.
Btw, I went shopping yesterday, and it was literally Christmas Christmas Christmas everywhere I went... wreaths on the door at Starbucks, CHRISTMAS cards (yes, they said the word!) and displays at the supermarket, and endless corny Christmas music in every store. So if there is a war on this holiday, the warriors aren't doing a very good job.
I was shopping in one store for over an hour, and the music started to irritate me after a while - I mean, we're talking the CORNIEST of Christmas tunes, like "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus." The clerk overheard me groaning at one song, and she laughed and said "Imagine how I feel; we've been listening to it since November 1st!" November 1st?? Wow! And she was a Black woman who was talking earlier about a Christmas party, so it's pretty likely she celebrates it. Anyway, just thought I'd share the good news that Christmas is still alive and well... even here in the very non-Christian Bay Area, LOL.
