Advisers from the Obama and McCain campaigns, as well as top editors and reporters from Politico, conducted an election debrief on the USC campus this weekend. I sat on a panel as co-chair of USC Students for McCain.

After two days, six panels and dozens of speakers, the conference concluded with a revealing look at the technology gap between the campaigns. The theme: This year, the McCain campaign was simply out-manned.

I didn't read the link but I'm curious; are they jealous because they were outmanned, or outmanned because they were too busy being jealous and therefor sniping?

It was all about the "ground game" IMO. I did read an article in (IIRC) "Wired" magazine that said McCain's emails were only going through at about 60% of the rate of Obama's. My mental picture of McCain's "tech guru" is a guy my age (60) or older while his counterpart on "Team Obama" was a guy about 19!
