Default Protect the Sanctity of marriage!! Ban Divorce!!!

Protect the Sanctity of Marriage!!!
BAN DIVORCE!!! Stay out of gay and lesbian bedrooms!!!! We want to do the deed. Don't even think about trying to coach us a homosexual activity, we know how to do it!!!!

For a group of people who are grossed out by the idea of 2 men or 2 women having sex, you spend a lot of time in gay and lesbian bedrooms!!!

How does allowing divorce protect the sanctity of marriage?

How is the sexual activity between 2 totally hot dudes on their honeymoon your business?

How does the marriage of 2 men or 2 women THREATEN the relationship between an old sea hag and her horny cheatin husband?

I want to hear some answers from the right-wing, bible-thumbing bigots of of this website. You have a brain, think of something logical. When you think of it, type it as your reply! See how simple it is?

I think its time to hear real evidence how gay marriage threatens straight marriages when it doesn't! Especially when straight people like Britney Spears can get married one day and divorced the next. The only thing that threatens any marriage is divorce, duh! Two hot dudes getting married has absolutely no impact on a relationship between a husband and a wife.

I actual favor making divorce more difficult to obtain. I think if it wasn't so easy to get out of a marriage, people would take a lot more time about agreeing to get married. Overall I think that would be a good thing.

It's legal for a serial killer/rapist to marry a porn queen in jail as long as they are male and female.

It's legal for a 90 year old man to marry a 16 year old girl or a 90 year old woman to marry a 16 yr old boy.

It's legal for two intoxicated people to marry in a Vegas Chapel within hours of meeting each other, as long as they are male and female.

It's legal for two drug pushers/addicts/criminals to get married as long as they are male and female.

It's legal for a man with a history of assaulting women to marry as long as he marries a woman.

It's legal for a woman, who has had a dozen marriages and divorces and lives off alimony to marry, as long as she marries a man.

It's legal for two people with physical disabilities which preclude penetrative sex to get married as long as they are male and female.

It's legal for two people with terminal dieseases to get married as long as it is a male and female.

And it's perfectly legal for any of these couples to get divorced from their current partner and marry again, as often as they like.

However, marriage is NOT legal for two law-abiding tax-paying people in a long term committed loving relationship with each other (who may also be raising children) if they happen to be a woman and a woman or a man and a man?

Heck.

All I wanted was for one of them to tell me when Bristol Palin and Levi were going to tie the knot. She's going to be too big to fit in a limo if they don't hurry.

They can always get a divorce the next week and keep Mama in the news, just like a dead turkeys do.

I'm a christian, I'm puzzled that the same christians who want to maintain the sanctity of marriage never bring up the divorce issue. You can say homosexuality is immoral all you want (and I'd agree) but if you want to protect the sanctity of marriage, then you can't ignore something like divorce--or else you're being inconsistent.

But then, living in a non-christian society, can I honestly expect non-christians to act like I do? No, and even St. Paul said so in 1 Corinthians 5:12. The best I can do is tell them about Jesus and hope that they repent and turn to him. Aside from that, I can't regulate their behaviour.

I've asked other christians about this and nobody can give me an answer for this inconsistency. I had one friend who did say "good point" last week--but he was the only one in the five years since I first thought about this.

Thanks for bringing this up. This why I think all the claims and stands against gay marriage is just a complete witch hunt. People who oppose gay marriage are doing nothing to improve situations involving the degradation of straight marriages.
