News, Pastor: Abortion industry exploits blacks.
Pro-lifers in Fayetteville, North Carolina, are waging war on two abortion fronts.
When Pastor Johnny Hunter, who heads the African-American evangelical pro-life ministry L.E.A.R.N., Inc., discovered that a new abortion facility was quietly being set up in a former Pizza Hut building, he sprang into action.

I am really annoyed by people saying that abortion clinics are "targeting" blacks, I mean isn't getting pregnant and getting an abortion a choice? I think that the frequency of abortions in the Black community shows the morality of these individuals. I have multiple friends who have had multiple abortions versus using condoms or birth control. How about allowing these women to take responsibilty for themselves instead of pointing fingers and pulling the race card!!!!

Shouldn't he work more on educating individuals about making better sexual choices?
Condoms? Birth control? IUDS? Vasectomies? Abstinence? Morning after pill? Plan B?
I think there are much bigger issues in the African-American community than abortion. A lot of times women choose abortion because they can't afford to have another child.
Wouldn't it be better to try to help these women receive some kind of assistance to learn a skill, go to college, get a better paying job, etc?

i think the concern is genuine. AA population went from 14% to 11% in just a few years. major exodus from LA. what were AA neighborhoods all over CA are now mexican working poor.
whole lota stuff goin on with AA. welfare program bout to get a big makeover too.
my biggest concern is not the abortion but that 50% of all american AIDS cases are AA.

Why is this controversial?
Everyone knows that blacks have abortions, and that a pastor will be against this.
Let's get to the serious point: Who makes a profit from abortion clinics, and who are the abortion doctors?

I guess I should have separated that.
I know that college does not necessarily mean you will get a better job.
I should have said they should help the women learn a skill, go to college OR get a better paying job.
You can't deny that in most cases, there is a positive correlation between educational attainment and income level.

Hmmm. Add thread-hijacking to your list of positive attributes? That sort of thing is against the TOS, you know...
