Bush: Bible Not Literal, Evolution OK | Drudge Retort (http://www.drudge.com/news/115691/bush-bible-not-literal-evolution-ok - broken link)

Hell, he thought the Constitution was not literal either. IMHO evolution was created by God. The bible was written by men. I'll bet on evolution.

Only another 40 days or so of this idiot. Bush is a TOTAL moron, you can see it in his eyes; the vacuous, unknowing, distant stare.

G.W. Bush: Worst. President. Ever.

Yeah--it certainly is possible. The thing is that what he's saying is so damn obvious. I think the vast majority of us were at least twelve steps ahead of him...not a shock.

Well, he probably believed that all along, look at his religious background.

In my best church lady voice: Could it be that he was pandering?

Lakewooder pandering is a understatement!
I wonder what the religious right must be thinking & what my sister's mother in law is as well since she voted for Dubya because she felt he was a "good Christian"!

Uh huh? And? I've heard people say this all my life and no one ridiculed them for it. Disagree, sure. Go into attack mode over it? No. Are we running out of things to bash Bush over the head with here or what?

It would be encouraging news if I thought the President knew what "literal" meant.
