Default Lawsuit against Rudolph the reindeer

A woman in N.C. has filed a lawsuit stating the singing of Rudolf the red nosed rein deer by school children for a school play is a violation of separation of church and state because "Rudolph" and "Santa Claus" are overtly Christian.

Have we gotten to the point of hating everything that is traditionally Christmas that we sink to this depth?
Now, we are supposed to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" because someone may be offended by the mention of Christ, whom ironically the holiday is in remembrance of.
I fear this country is on a slippery path into the gutter, for those who don't believe in Christmas, that's fine just don't celebrate it. Why must you demonise it to the vast majority that embrace it.

Rudolph is not Christian and never has been! Rudolph is a pagan symbol for a bountiful harvest. Rudolph is also a symbol for a drunk. What do you think the red nose is all about? Hey Rudi - knock off the schnapps for a while - you're driving.

Peachytree is on a distinguished road
Why did you omit that the woman wanted to put a Hannukah song in??

Why omit that?

One thing is for sure, "Muslims" are not anti-Christmas, the War on Christmas is a distinctively Jewish-led phenomenon.

(I guess some White "atheists" go along with them too, many Liberal Whites are followers of jewish-led academic and ideological movements, for some reason.)

however:

The mother, who is Jewish, said she was trying to have a Hanukkah song added to the musical lineup but had not received a return phone call about it from school officials by mid-afternoon Friday.

If the minor jewish holiday of Hannukah landed in October, it'd be about as famous as Purim. Instead, the Jews have elevated Hannukah soley to compete with, dilute, and efface Christians' major holiday. Why can't people let the Chrisitians have their holiday in peace????

That's the reason I listed the web source, so that anyone can listen to the report in it's entirety.

I would like to hear the argument to convience me that Rudolph the rednose reindeer is a Christian song. Then Id like to hear her justification for including a Hannukah song in secular program.

I remember when I was in elementary school in the late '60s and 70's. Our Christmas program was alway a big deal complete with the bizars, class parties and singing before Christmas vacation. Students traditionally preformed the "nativity" play until one muslim family moved into the school district and objected.

I wonder if eventually the public school system will be forced to due away with the "Christmas holiday" and simply have a winter break as some schools no longer have Easter, but spring break.

OP, where does it say a lawsuit was filed? The Fox newscaster only says "lawyers got involved," no mention of a suit.

Oh, you poor oppressed Christians.

Who's stopping you??? It's a national holiday, for 4 weeks you can't get away from Xmas music and Xmas movies and Xmas symbols every where you look yet that's not enough. You still feel oppressed. Talk about paranoia.
