Perhaps Rod Blagojevich should have declared he needed a senate seat bailout so Illinois could succeed without bankruptcy protection.
He could have declared it necessary to save the children, or use empty phrases such as change and hope.
Rod doesn't understand how thievery is supposed to proceed. The FBI didn't make any sunrise housecalls at the homes of congress did they!

No, it will be amusing to have him in the news cycle for a few more weeks, gumming up the works and casting a pall on the inauguration.

You are correct on this. Illinois' Democrats should hurry and impeach him. Republicans probably love their dragging their feet.
