Why can't we eat animals like lions and tigers and zebra's and hippo's and koala bears? I don't get why it is so taboo to eat such creatures, yet I can eat a cow's ass any day of the week. Why not grow these animals in farms just like we do with cows and eat them? I am sure they taste great. Especially koala bears.

It's a serious question. I don't understand the social stigma behind eating exotic wildlife. Gorilla meat, panda bear meat, polar bear meat, caribou meat, it all probably tastes great and exotic, and we are missing out on some good meals. But because society deems it unacceptable, I will never get the chance to try these fine meats.

Dugongs. Dugong - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tasmanian devil meat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tasmanian_Devil

Curious. Very curious indeed. Platypus? Platypus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Last but not least, I always wanted to try dragon meat. Komodo dragon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When will the UN finally legalize this industry?

Maybe because these species might become endangered? I don't know.

They already are. Which is the purpose of eating them, because then a market opens up for them and we are forced to breed them, making much more and keeping their species alive.

Animal Info - Javan Rhinoceros

Javan Rhino, world's rarest large mammal. If we have breeding programs enacted to produce these creatures for food, they could be the next cow.
