I think the point your missing is that most parent don't want values training in the public school system. We want to teach our children our values, thank you very much. Of course, the left loves the idea of getting into our young impressionable kids heads when their parents aren't around. Adults have the mature ability to reason. We know the liberal values are no values at all. They are certainly not proper values to teach a child. Kids haven't yet achieved that level of sophistication. Someone else used to do that. I just can't quite remember the name of that guy with the youth group named after him....

I guess they also learned how to process and deal with facets of everyday life that made them uncomfortable or challenged their preconceptions when they were still in grade school.

OMG we are in the new century. Grow up. People can marry whoever they want. We can put a man on the moon but we cant get people out of the middle ages. Amazing.

Heterosexual adults have the right to marry the consenting adult with whom they are in love and have that marriage acknowledged legally in the entire country.

Heterosexual high school students have the right to go to the prom with a date in whom they are romantically interested in every high school that has a prom.

Not like you didn't know that, already.

I'd also note that heterosexuals have the right (not a legal, but REAL) to show their love for each other in public without the risk of getting beaten up for it.

What annoys me is that people know (generally) that is wrong to discriminate on race. On sex. On age. But, wait a minute - when it comes to gays , EVERYMAN, WOMAN and their Papa think its OK to dissect my life and my rights at the dinner table and subject MY life and MY rights to their approval...

Why do gays have less rights than heterosexuals??
They have the same rights as every other citizen. Just as singles don't get the benefits of marriage, neither do gays. Other than that, their rights are the same as other citizens.

If you no longer want to be single you can easily get married, gay people can't. See the difference?

Yes, a gay male can get married to a female. Vise versa.

They have not been excluded from any rights.

Because Blacks are off limits now, creating a void of public scorn. There has to be some kind of punching bag for the less tolerant among us to beat on.
