Soooo, Jews DO control Hollywood (Israel, poll, racist, 9/11)

Joel Stein in the LA Times flips this old cannard on its head.

"I have never been so upset by a poll in my life. Only 22% of Americans now believe "the movie and television industries are pretty much run by Jews," down from nearly 50% in 1964. The Anti-Defamation League, which released the poll results last month, sees in these numbers a victory against stereotyping. Actually, it just shows how dumb America has gotten. Jews totally run Hollywood.

How deeply Jewish is Hollywood? When the studio chiefs took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago to demand that the Screen Actors Guild settle its contract, the open letter was signed by: News Corp. President Peter Chernin (Jewish), Paramount Pictures Chairman Brad Grey (Jewish), Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Robert Iger (Jewish), Sony Pictures Chairman Michael Lynton (surprise, Dutch Jew), Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer (Jewish), CBS Corp. Chief Executive Leslie Moonves (so Jewish his great uncle was the first prime minister of Israel), MGM Chairman Harry Sloan (Jewish) and NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker (mega-Jewish). If either of the Weinstein brothers had signed, this group would have not only the power to shut down all film production but to form a minyan with enough Fiji water on hand to fill a mikvah"

Another thread here asks why Jewish success is under-reported. Why are people afraid to admit that most of the entertainment business is lead by executives of Jewish descent or of the Jewish Faith? Is it a bad thing that the Entertainment industry is run by Jews? Why not acknowledge the truth?

Yup, we do run Hollywood... and the majority of nail salons are Asian-run, cab drivers are usually Arab, and Indians either work in 7-11s or they're engineers in Silicon Valley. What was your point again? Who cares if we dominate the entertainment field? Apparently it's just a line of work that appeals to Jews, and I really don't see why it's such a big deal. If all movies and shows were Jewish-themed, I could see where it was a problem - but we all know that isn't true.

If Jews truly run Hollywood then why have Muslims stopped being terrorist villians in movies since the 9/11? Off the top of my head I remember "True Lies", "The Seige", and several others in which muslim terrorist were the villians.

In the original Die Hard, they weren't actually terrorist. They were thieves posing as terrorist.

Is Mel still working? If I remember correctly, he had to finance his last two movies himself.

Your post is funny and I mean it in a positive way...but be careful others are entitled to say that Jews control Hollywood but if you say that nail salons are run by Asians, etc...they will call you a racist
