He can't acheive mideast peace, and at best he can prop up our economy for a while, so I'd say work on the economy. We won't be "fixing" the economy anytime in the next 100 years.

Well, apparently some people think Obama can do anything. "Try to understand, try to understand, ooooooohhhh, eewwwwwwww -- he's a Magic Man"

I agree.

I'm in my early 30s so my recollection only goes back to Regan but as far as I can remember it has been business as usual in the M.E (fighting, fighting, and more fighting) since then and before then.

What is it that makes Obama any more capable of fixing this mess than any of the others who have come before him?

I'm not asking to be a wise a$$ because I really like the guy but I just want to know if he has a magic wand or something?

I think Obama himself would say it's in god's hands and he will do the best he knows how.

It's clear as day that no one person or even team of people knew how to stop the $ crisis, the home crisis, the auto crisis, retailers...etc. And it's even more clear that not one person will solve the get out of our land...no it's my land conflict.

I like Obama too, even though he didn't get my vote.

Truth is, we're expecting far too much out of our Presidents.

The President cannot force people to stop making stupid financial choices, and maxing out 5-6 credit cards. Neither can the President force Hama, Hezbollah and Israel to stop hating each other.

This will be the part however where all the people that married themselves to Obama get to get off the honeymoon where they just maxed out their credit card on.
