Israel needs to reign in the settlers. They have no business in the West Bank, they go and 'settle' regions that they are not allowed to and then refuse to leave.....in their own way, they are certainly no better then Hamas.
Agreed. There have been attempts to negotiate; these talks have failed.

Yes.
The recruiters have so much influence, but not any responsibility.
They are manipulators, exploiting ignorance and/or despair.
A 14-year-old who was trained to kill by radicals in the tribal regions of Pakistan now sits in a crowded classroom at a detention facility in Kabul. His only wish is to see his parents again.

You play with my world

You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes

Just because I don't have a knee jerk pro-Israel reaction to everything does not make me a Hamas apologist. Don't put words in my mouth.

In any case, perhaps you can answer my question --- just what is islamofascists fixation on destroying its own people via suicide bombings? And do supporters of said groups realize that they are viewed as no more then mere cannon fodder by their leaders? Discuss.

Not true--the suicide bombings are a recent phenomenon of the last 20 years or so.

Suicide bombings, yes; suicide attacks by Muslims, no:

The history of suicide attacks stretches back at least to the 11th century, when the Assassins, the disciples of the Persian master Alamut, conducted suicide raids on neighboring fortresses. The Koran forbids suicide, Mr. Post noted, but he added that suicide bombers often consider their deaths acts of heroism, not self-destruction, and believe they will be elaborately rewarded in the afterlife. Harvey Kushner, an expert in terrorism and chairman of the department of criminal justice at Long Island University, noted that suicide attacks are not condoned by most Muslims, but are espoused ''by leaders of religious factions within the Islamic community'' who have what he described as ''a contorted view of what is spiritually permissible.'' After their deaths, suicide bombers are often celebrated as heroes, said Vamik Volkan, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Virginia Medical School and an expert on interethnic conflict.

Fair enough...let's just keep the discussion within the past 20 years. Seems like long enough to spot a trend, and form a few opinions in just about ANY subject.....

If your neighborhood was at the mercy of violent gang members, would you feel better if I told you, "but look at the bright side....they've only been doing this for five years". ?

In Israel, there's no such thing as a civilian. The economy is highly socialist (tax freedom day: July 15th), almost everyone is subject to mandatory conscription. And you don't have to wear a uniform to be a part of the military process, because you can't have a modern army without a wide economic footprint. For every solider killing people from a helicopter you need twenty people doing IT work, handling PR, washing toilets, cooking meals, etc, etc, etc. The whole nation is one giant military base.

They also have to go back and serve one month a year in the reserves after they do their initial service, for the rest of their lives. Which makes one wonder what the attraction of living in this kind of ultra-militaristic garrison state is? WE ARE SPARTA!!!

Are you actually trying to justify the indiscriminate bombing of homes, marketplaces and schools and killing all the children because someday they may be in the military? You are one SICK individual.

Ummm....survival? Due to the fact they are surrounded by hostile states that have pulled together to attack you in the past and would probably do it again if they thought they could win - it seems it is a necessity.
