Bush & Co. only care about members of the military while the are fit for duty. Get injured, suffer from PTSD, etc. in the line of duty, then they are disposable just like a disposable razor.

So if this happens after Jan. 20th are you going to blame Obama?
Having said that, it is a bad situation, and I DO think Bush should have done more for the Veterans and the hospitals though. He thought too much about spending money than for his troops that have suffered through enough.

This is only one of a very long list of Bush atrocities that Obama has on his list to correct. It must be prioritized, and since this does effect the fewest, it won't be on the top of the list, but action has already been taken.
He has already started by replacing yet another Bush incompetent appointee when he takes office in just over 2 weeks.

Obama confirmed that Shinseki was his choice In an exclusive interview with NBC News, taped for broadcast on "Meet the Press." Obama called Shinseki "exactly the right person who is going to be able to make sure that we honor our troops when they come home."

And people trust the government to effectively run our healthcare system.

Having worked for the Army for 30 years, yes, I would trust my fellow civil servants to run it. The problem is at the highest levels, where the elected dudes get their hands on everything and screw it up by making sure their pals, like Senator Frist's HCA, make a financial killing.
