At any rate Iran is just about out of reach for Israel unless we allow Israel to stage out of Iraq. Pretty sure what the iraqi's would say to that.
They won't attack Iran itself but they will sink any ship Iran sends even close to Gaza.

Israel will NEVER allow Iran to dock ships in Gaza and unload cargo - under the guise of humanitarian relief...

They know full well that thousands of rockets are in those ships, along with guns and ammunition...

If the Iranians try to run the blockade, they better be really good swimmers!!

Militarily, even while getting trounced, Iran can create a lot of trouble in Iraq. The Iraq war has made Iran more powerful in the region. If they decide to openly help insurgents in Iraq, it could change our plans to withdraw and focus on Afghanistan. Things could get a lot worse in that region.

They are Persian. Might want to pick up a history book, there have been hundreds of years of hostility between Arabs and Persians.

Which also goes to show that they are just fanning the flames and not doing it out of some kind of kinship with the Palestinians.

Israel is not to be messed with because they've been armed to the gills by the US.

Because it doesn't go along with the posters knowledge of the way poster thinks the world is.
So then we can assume these posters have sympathy for hamas and groups like them?

They immediately dismiss what this young man has to say - even though he was the ultimate insider and would know better than anyone else what hamas is all about.

"We will kill them all if they try to help Israel bring down our government," the official said. "We will hang Mahmoud Abbas and [former Fatah security chief] Muhammad Dahlan in the public square if they try to enter the Gaza Strip aboard Israeli tanks."
What??

You mean the palestinians in the West Bank and hamas are not brothers any more?

What a great opportunity for Abbas and fatah - a chance to take over when hamas is crushed - and then make peace with Israel.

They don't seem to mind that hamas is being attacked.

I think Israel is just waiting for Iran to do something like that. It would provide a wonderful excuse to destroy their nuclear facilities.
