I have no interest in what others choose to do with their equipment...live and let live! People should worry about their own "lifestyle" and not dwell on/judge others for theirs. I'm curious as to what people believe this "gay lifestyle" is...I have plenty of homosexual friends, some I have known for over 10 years, and there is a lot of common ground despite the fact that I'm heterosexual myself. Like most people in the world, they work, pay their rent & bills, have relationships & enjoy hanging out a couple of times a week with friends. Is that so sinister? I think some actually believe that all homosexuals are perverted party maniacs, but in my experience it has been mostly well-to-do heterosexual men who have displayed inappropriate/sexually aggressive &/or perverted behavior...I am basing this statement on the fact that I was a NYC bartender for 10 years. The nightclub I worked at for most of that time was located in the West Village, and there was an extremely diverse clientele, everyone from grumpy old farts who only talked to themselves to French tourists and drag queens.
LOL... they were cute! I took a bunch of pictures at SF Pride last year, which you can see on the San Francisco forum if you'd like. Soooooooo many hot men, and none of them would want me - frustrating as heck.
Ahem I know many gays who don't like Pride Parades... so FYI, its not ALL that go to those parades.. some actually avoid them!
Gay Pride parades are one day a year.
Do you reckon some people think those parades are like some kind of gay Groundhog Day that repeats over and over every day and that people actually dress like that every day?
When people use Gay Pride parades as some sort of example of gay behaviour, do they forget there are 364 other days in the year and that most of the marchers go back to their regular pin striped suits, hospital greens, fireman's uniforms, footballer's pads, clerical collars, etc etc the next day?

My gay roomate avoids those things like the plague. Of course, he's more into playing Dungeons and Dragons and reading anime comics than going to a pride parade...
A couple of years ago I went to our local pride parade dressed up as a boy pretending to be a girl who is actually a girl
I'm 6'1, so it's easier for me to pass as a drag queen, even though I'm a chick
That was a pretty complex statement you made there:
You don't accept homosexuality
But you do "tolerate" it
You hold no grudge against homosexuals
But you don't agree with their "lifestyle" (a misnomer)
If you have a moment, please tell us why you don't accept homosexuality.
When you say you cannot agree with their lifestyle, well, I'm not sure what there is to agree or disagree with. Homosexual attractions have existed for as long as history has been recorded. It's part of the human condition. Some feel it; some don't. That's life.
Gizmo asked me a similar question a little earlier in the thread, and I responded to that on page 5.
Perhaps I used the wrong vocabulary in that first post, but I hope the second post I made cleared it up a little.
Put simply: I don't have a problem with homosexuals, I just don't "approve" of homosexuality itself.
The "tolerance" part means that I support tolerance education and measures for homosexuals, but I do not support education that encourages it (like what MA does).
The lifestyle word there was a mistake. Again, I have no problems with individual homosexuals.... I just don't "approve" of it. To those that do it, fine. But I want homosexuality to always be known as the "deviation", and never the "norm".

Thank you for your response.
If you don't mind, I'm still curious: You don't "approve" of homosexuality, but what does that mean, exactly? To me, homosexuality in the world is like left-handedness - it's not the "norm" (to use your word), but for some, it's quite natural.
Most people have primarily heterosexual attractions, just as most people are right-handed. A minority has only homosexual attractions, just as a minority is only left-handed. And then there's an another group that has both homosexual and heterosexual attractions, depending on the situation - again, the analogy: a minority of people are ambidextrous, although they often favor one hand over the other.
Do you believe that homosexuality is a mental illness? Or are you saying that people with homosexual attractions should suppress their attractions and try to be as heterosexual or nonsexual as possible?
just wanted to know the sides of those homosexuals
