Pro-life groups found a silver lining in the bleak aftermath of the Madoff scandal Monday after learning that Planned Parenthood and other abortion rights groups were cutting projects and laying off staff after losing millions with the tarnished New York investment guru.
Two charitable funders of note who regularly contributed to a variety of progressive causes have been knocked out by the Madoff scandal...Picower and the JEHT Foundation. Their combined annual grant budgets were around $40 million, and that's money that progressive groups will need to make up from other sources, which in the world created by George W. Bush, won't necessarily be easy to do. With the collapse of the right-wing, however, and a return by the US to its traditions as a center-left country, those other sources are out there to be recruited in ever larger numbers...

LOL nice try.
Yep the right wing collapsed. The wingnuts are still going to be protesting abortion clinics. Remember its a pendulum and it swings both directions. It swung hard to the left recently. Which often causes the "winner" to over-reach (Dems 1994) and/or go totally corrupt Washington (GOP 2002-2008).
Other sources? Most peoples "other source" ATM is hoarding cash and hoping they keep their job. BO isnt gonna help. DC elite hate this issue (abortion) and just want it to go away.
Center left? only during recessions. The big problem is not short term help for the recent unemployed. Its the long term handouts for losers who know the couch better than an office chair.
