So I take it everyone has forgotten about Northstar of Alpha Flight?
I always thought they could have made Gambit or Nightcrawler a gay character. Gambit was a bit too much of a womanizer and he did have a flare. Nightcrawler's character could have had an additional bit of drama of his being gay along with his devout religious beliefs. Talk about internal conflict. Then again, there's always the long running Batman and Robin rumor that'll never stop.
I'm sure the character will be idolized in american culture right next to Superman and the Pilsbury dough-boy
