My title is not ironic. I really do find both Communism and Communists repulsive.
However, even if Dr. King was a Communist, it doesn't take away from the good he stood for and he also didn't exactly seem to be a supporter of the USSR.
Hell, George Orwell is my favorite author and he was Communist.
It's not more complicated than that..The OP implies that King, Jr. was a communist based on FBI reporting from the 60s which we know much of was fabricated. Dis-information was their trademark in the 60s. They sought to discredit King, Jr. by any means neccassary. Imperfect he was but communist he was not.

Please do tell us about the dis-information and your sources. There were literally 100's of communist spies sent from the Lenin era and continued through most of the cold war. The communist sympathizers fooled by their facade of peace and love numbered in the 100,000's if not 1,000,000's.
Certain people giving specific circumstance throughout history have excelled. The circumstances around which MLK became famous were one of a kind in our history. It actually took the great courage of many others to even build up to that point. No need to discredit others in history who can not possibly fulfill the same destiny as someone in another time.
Communism is the paradox. While it preaches the total equality of all humanity. It fails the one thing that has been so crucial to humanity and that's each of our own unique individuals.
Communist sympathizers of the time thought the cause was noble. They barely knew the actual push behind the cause and the final results that were desired in general.

not necessarily, as someone said he endorsed both parties, but most blacks were n fact republicans and were changing into democrats as many conservative democrats were changing to states rights party and then republican. which is why the south became overwhemly(sp?) republican.
on thing is for sure he didnt endorse this man here

No, we only need to place an embargo on it. Unless of course, they hold huge reserves of our currency and manufacture a huge amount of our trinkets. Then it's okay to do business with them.
