The Raw Story | Whistleblower: NSA spied on everyone, targeted journalists

Quote:
"In one of the operations that I was in, we looked at organizations, just supposedly so that we would not target them," Tice told Olbermann. "What I was finding out, though, is that the collection on those organizations was 24/7 and 365 days a year -- and it made no sense. ... I started to investigate that. That's about the time when they came after me to fire me."

When Olbermann pressed him for specifics, Tice offered, "An organization that was collected on were US news organizations and reporters and journalists."
Tice is the whistleblower that exposed the warrantless wiretapping.

Thanks for posting this. I watched the interview last night and am wondering today why this isn't front page news. Unbelievably scary stuff.

Makes you wonder what other "groups" were targeted. This is the only one he's named.

There was a picture of a door too. Behind that door is ALL the transactions from AT&Ts internet service, a virutal duplicate. Now, doesn't this make you feel really safe and secure.

Oberman looked rather stunned. No doubt this is only the beginning of the revalations. Of course these "records" are stored somewhere and will never go away.

Bush really created a unique place in history for himself... not the one he wants I suspect.

No wonder a few are convulsing over reinstatement of freedom of information act (FOIA) by Obama. It was Watergate when Nixon was involved, and now it sounds more like Teargate.
Limbaugh's take on FOIA, his incoherence, and ignorance makes it all, amusing. Or, is he having a heart attack?
