*Trips to luxury spas with bailout funds

*Private Jet flights to bailout meeting

*Million dollar bonuses with bailout money

*50 Million dollar 15 passenger plane with bailout money

40 Thousand Workers laid off today!

Shouldn't we all be standing outside the companies who received bailout money expressing our outrage at the extravagance they continue to show with our bailout money?

Aren't there already laws in place that would prevent executives from sucking money out of public companies when we already have a hemorrhaging economy?

Isn't it crystal clear that bailout money is not for bonuses and company parties?

Should we expect anything less than a restriction on such flagrant
examples of the abuse and greed that helped create this situation in the first place?

We have to stop the bleeding before we even begin to think about recovering from our economic recession !!!

40 Thousand lost their jobs today.
How many more tomorrow?
We sit in disbelief, denial and despair as these stories continue to be exposed.

We the people need to come together, stand up for our country and say no more bleeding!

Let's use our freedom of speech- let our voices resound.

Let's make sure that those companies know that they will not have us as customers in the end.

Bailout money spent on bonuses means we will boycott those businesses.

We will support those companies we can respect and who earn the trust of the American people!

No many of us are smart enough to see what is going on and fighting and bitter about it... Sadly, our society is so dumbed down and sheeples (watch the movie Idiocracy.. that's where we're headed LOL) and those of us who educate ourselves on what is going on out there are outnumbered by the idiots satisfied w/the status quo and okay w/the government tellin them how to live their lives because they have no braincell to do it on their own.

The reason we need to let shareholders have more say in the salaries is because the CEOs will never self-police. If there needs to be government oversight, so be it. I makes me want to puke. They pay themselves 20 to 40 times what the European, Canadian and Japanese CEOs get paid, and for a crappier job!

Is it foolish to expect that we can join together and make a difference in how theses CEO's spend the bailout money in the future? (Personally, I think Ceo's from failing companies should be arrested if they give out bonuses with bailout money. They are walking out the front doors with our money- not company profits.)

I say we vote out every person in the House and Senate who voted for this bailout. They deserve to be booted out.
While they're in office though, give them hell. Especially if you're unemployed, call them every hour if you want. Let them know how you feel.
You can find their # here: http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/index.html (broken link)
We should take our money from these banks (if we bank with them) and invest them elsewhere.

Don't you see? Krugman won the Nobel Prize, and Krugman is a neo-Keynesian. Therefore, neo-Keynesian policies are considered the gold standard. Bailouts: the bigger, the better. After all, when you win the Nobel Prize, everything you say is golden.

Did I mention that Krugman won the Nobel Prize?

Great post! Sadly, I rarely hear anyone putting the onus where it belongs --- our senate and congress. They are the ones that were hell bent on the bailout, they were the ones that wrote it. They could have written requirements for the money such as not using it for pesonal gain (i.e. bonuses), but they didn't. Why? Are they really that stupid? Or is it a classic (and massively expensive) form of government scratch?
We need to hold everyone who voted 'yea' for the bailout accountable, and vote the bastards out.

I like your ideas about the banks, livetodaylez --- great ideas
