Just ranting..
(please someone answer)

1. How does one without a diploma/a criminal/an immigrant/a low wage worker know the "right-direction" for America?

TELL ME!

2. How come all of the worst, depressed, and most dangerous places in America are ALL overwhelmingly Democratic and practically run like communist Russia? (Baltimore, Detroit, Buffalo..etc..) BTW, San Diego and San Jose (both run with a lot more of a conservative bastion)are the safest in America.

WHY O' WHY?!

3. Also, name one thing that your over-taxation does better than job creation? (I've yet to find a better quality of life indicator than a low unemployment rate.)

NAME IT..

(Thanks.. I look forward to reading your responses..)

They don't. You already know that. Let's hope they don't vote.

No need to insult Russia.

Moscow has a lower crime rate than Detroit and a higher literacy rate. Andrei Illiarinov, the former Chief Economic Advisor to Putin, helped implement a flat tax rate so even their taxation is more fair than in any American city.

Of course, if Democrats were in Russia, that would all change within weeks.

Over-taxation doesn't create jobs, it creates slaves.

An immigrant doesn't know about America? Wha?! We were all immigrants at one point, remember that, every single person in this country at one point were immigrants, and somehow they managed to know how to run America. At what point does an immigrant have the right to have an opinion, huh?

1.) An illegal alien or convicted felon cannot legally vote. I have no qualms about a naturalized citizen voting, or one without a diploma. Requiring a diploma to vote or prohibiting a low wage earner from voting is a bit too elitist to me.
2.) Local big city politicians seem to be almost allways democratic as a result of the urban demographics. Many are indeed run poorly. Not sure of the reason. I've never seen a study/comparison of GOP run cities vs. Dem. run cities. Could be an interesting topic.
3.) Over taxation will allow for more income redistribution, higher social services, larger central government at the expense of economy growth and job growth. Proponents will of course offer Switzerland and Sweden as shining examples of high tax, democratic socialist economies. People like me will offer up France (high unemployment, negative growth) and Germany (banking problems, stagnant economy) as examples of democrat socialism's gone wrong and why it doesn't work.

Well how about the primarily Democratic cities who are thriving or otherwise manage somehow to keep attracting residents: Washington DC, Austin, New York (GOP Mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg, notwithstanding), Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, etc.

Please share with us some larger Republican-run cities (not counties, smaller cities or grown-up suburbs) that you feel are successful.

I'm sure your grandmother, great-grandmother or someone before was. My great-grandparents came over to this country as immigrants from Europe, they were poor and settled in those tenements new york city everyone sees pictures of in history class, I'm not sure of the legalities of their immigration either, and they became model citizens (and even won medals for their service in the army, we used to joke that my grandfather WAS the WWII movie new york guy stereotype, you remember those movies, there was always one of them), I'm glad that they were given the right to vote and participate in this nation of ours, even though when they first stepped off the boat, they didn't speak much English either.

What makes you think a diploma guarantees anything?

I'm not real impressed with the direction someone with an Ivy League degree is taking America.

We are only crazy for trying...
1. It does not take any degree to know right from wrong. What school did Moses, Abraham or Jesus (for that matter) gain a degree from? Bad decisions can be seen for miles even by the unwashed masses.

2.While liberals do not believe in discrimination, I do not concede that it was our idea to build tenement housing and corral people according to minorities but as it happened, we try to cope as best we can. Liberals did not event nor do we uphold "the 'hood". There are cities and states that are highly democratric and run better than some countries. Research for truth and don't cherry pick to prove your point and you will see that.

3.Over-taxation is just another trite cliche that does not hold water. Bush and his deficits will cause tax increases and that will likely fall to a brave Democrat to do because the country is so sick of this kabal that is ruining our name all over the world. Low unemployment is just a number, under-employment, depressed wages, middles class squeeze and corporate greed will all affect the true nature of the job market. The truth hurts but it is still the truth. Anyone can spin the facts but that does not change the facts. We see what we want to see and hear what we want to hear, that is what makes you a conservative, me a liberal, and some folks just plain nuts!
