He knows that he was born in Hawaii, which puts him a healthy step ahead of you and some of the other droolers. And of course when the current stimulus bill is scored against the dimwit Republican alternative, it only creates triple the number of jobs. Shortcomings it would seem are still a Republican thing...just as they have been since Teddy Roosevelt left office...

So you're saying that being born in Hawaii magically gives you the ability to create thousands of $50,000+ a year jobs? If so, then Hawaii should be the richest state.

You still haven't explained how Obama's bailout plan is going to create thousands of $50,000+ a year jobs plus benefit packages for American families. How?

Saganista,

How do you create thousands of "long-term" $50,000+ a year jobs with benefit packages?

Do you know?

Does Obama know?

Im actually with Obama on this issue. I see no way of stopping a woman from controlling her body. We have to have government agencies that provide womens services. Most of the rest of this bail out is crazy though because by and large anything Government run is bureuacratic bloated and wasteful.

Never had an econ class did you. A strong velocity of money...what you call here today, gone tomorrow...is what pumps up the stimulus bang for the buck. Guess that's not common knowledge among gutter-rats.

Demand creates jobs, not rich people, and cash in the hands of people who will spend it is what creates demand. Too bad the Bushies didn't realize that when they diverted all those productivity gains into corporate profits instead of wage gains. Might have saved us all a whole lot of trouble if only they'd been smart enough to think of that back then...

You must have skipped econ right along with kootr. Economies are made up of $10 a pop at 7/11. $18 at the dry cleaner. $6.50 at Starbucks. You are apparently clueless as to how the world around you actually works...

Saganista,

Calling me names doesn't help your cause.

What is the one thing that creates the most jobs in America?

It's not demand. And it's not handing someone $600 bucks. That just creates a few days of spending and "POOF" it's gone.

What is the one thing that creates the most jobs in the US along with innovation?

No, not God, he was just a better choice compared to McCain.

We had to put up with Bush for eight years. So I give President Obama credit for trying to clean up Bush's leftover mess. Unlike you and many others, I'm not able to predict the future, so I'll just wait for President Obama's Stimulus Plan to pass the Senate and those results before making judgment.

Plus, I don't recall anyone calling it socialism as Bush was spreading the money among the wealthy, his partners, and maybe himself. It wouldn't surprise me if Bush didn't create a condition so that he could walk away with a few billions at the end of his Presidency. How crazy was it that Bush wanted Paulson to have total control over $700B! For some, it makes Obama a much better choice.

Its not rich people who get these tax breaks. You seem to think of tax breaks as going to some corporate conglomerate. Its the people whos retirements are stock held in Exxon, GE andGM, bonds, and other financial instruments that make up a persons savings. These are the people who need the tax breaks so they can reinvest and spend. Not some loser who would never get off his bum
