Okay.

One.
Don't be so naive. Of course Bush compromised freedoms by implementing a no-fly list. Only the simplest of minds would agree that the world fits into your anti-Obama = pro-Bush mold.

The no-fly list is compiled to keep terrorists off planes. Are you saying you want potential terrorists walking around armed?
You want people stripped of their rights without any trial or conviction?

Only if a Democrat is in the oval office and only if it doesn't affect them. After all, if a tree falls and they don't hear it, does it make a sound?

If they have a name like John Smith or Jim O'Connor, they just might be confused with a political dissident with the same name and added to the list. Flying will always be an "interesting" experience from then onward.

As for me, I have my share of guns, thank you. The fewer shady people that have them, the better off I am. If a person is so stupid to conduct their lives in a way that gets them labeled as a terrorist, I don't want their dumb-ass carrying a weapon. Get it?
What if you happened to say one of those "filtered" words on the illegal surveylence, or posted something, or texted it? And you got on the suspect list and were deemed a "potential"? What if you just happen to have an oppinion and expressed it as we are allowed to?

That could land you on the no-fly list.

How many other rights will join the 2nd ammendment as denied to "potential terrorists" if the slippery slope gets tilted a little more?

I'm sure he's probably only going to be getting Obama coffee and laying his socks out for him in the morning...Obama is not likely to actually listen to any of his ideas and maybe act on them, is he?

Surely not.

Look, let's all just calm down and remember this simple tidbit: if you aren't doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to hide!

Ask any Jew who lived in 30's Germany or a non-communist party member in Eastern Europe during the 50's. I'm sure they'll agree.

What if a crooked cop planted heroin on you and busted you? I'm not going to live my life in fear about getting busted for something I didn't do.

The sad fact is, security measures always curtail personal freedom. In that regard, the terrorists have succeeded to some degree. Regardless, we as a society can't stick our heads in the ground and pretend there are no bad-guys. There are, and we all pay the price.

One more thing. If I ended up being banned from all commercial airline flights, not being able to buy a gun is the least of my worries!!!

Okay, I'll play... "As a test vote, take it into the election, that is if you are on the no-fly list, because you are maybe known as a possible terrorist, you cannot buy a handgun in America."

(So it wasnt in his book, after all.) I think this was hyperbole to get attention from the Brady Bill supporters to whom he was speaking.

To indulge the OP's feverish fantasy and imagine RE convinced Obama - somehow, because it's about as unconstitutional as it can be - blah blah, and it passes and is law. Well, I'd agree with the other posters - dont get yourself on the no-fly list!

Id say the no-fly list is a far greater threat to our security than Rahm Emanuel blathering on trying to get votes for his guy. Very scary.

Off topic, but did anyone here listen long enough to hear the stats he quotes about what happened when the gun bans were removed?

And Obama saying he's not coming for our guns is supposed to make us comfortable? He's a complete liar about this and everything he stands for. This country is in deep s*^t with this guy. The Brady bill did NOTHING to curb crime and that was admitted by many of it's proponents including Clinton. These hopolophobeswill never stop until we have no guns at all. Wake up America. You have voted in a socialistic traitor and we all will suffer for it.
