Again we are in agreement.

My point is. These fake Conservative dust off these valid Libertarian arguments only when it suits their purpose (when Dems are in power.) But go full bore Government authoritarian when the GOP gets their turn.

They are trying to play Libertarians and real conservatives for fools.

Something that many people don't realize; true liberalism is a good thing and is a lot closer to Libertarian ideals than the neocon agenda. As a moderate conservative, I have many liberal friends who are true liberals and not part of the hijacked Democrat party (as I'm not a part of the hijacked Republican party). We find ourselves in agreement on just about everything.

It just goes to show that both parties have been usurped to a large degree by corporate influences and greed/power.

Libertarians were screaming about the many, many stupid things that George Bush and the neocons did while in office. The Oklahoma resolution was in place before George Bush left office. And although it wasn't Libertarians that passed the resolution, it is definitely supported by Libertarians wholeheartedly.

Depressions always bring out the psychosis lying just below the surface. It is historically a time for demagogues and political charlatans. It doesn't matter whether they are on the left, the right or somewhere in the looney middle.

They barely muttered a peep when Bush

* Denied States the right to set their own EPA standards.
* Wiretapped US Citizens without a warrant.
* Attached signing statements to Bills saying he as President could ignore the law.
* Put protesters in "Free Speech Zones" far away from events to lessen their impact.
* Directed and funded military propaganda aimed at our own citizens.
* Likely broke the law as written in the Posse Comitatus Act
*
I dont know about you... but I didnt support those laws our congress did.
That doesnt make us supporters.
Anyway lets just say this, we all know violations when we see them and a free state project was going on long before Bush and CONGRESS even put those laws into place.
I'm all for freedom and liberty at any cost even if that means starting a civil war to protect my rights.
