The Schip bill was signed into law.
I have been posting here to bring somethings to light, and will continue to do so.
Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with health insurance for kids, but this law in its current form is totally wrong.
The things I have found, right here on the internet; will shed alot of light on what maybe going on behind the scene, and the impact of this bill.
I have collected some information, and will post them at my earliest convience.

This bill only allows you to receive insurance with a valid Social Security Number.

If you are illegal, you do not have a valid SSN, hence, unless you commit fraud, you are not getting the insurance.

Therefore, Obama is not "giving insurance to illegals", he is giving insurance to children who are citizens.

I see that people are voting to overturn SCHIP and not posting why they would choose to do that.

I have a feeling that the ones who oppose this bill are the same people who assign a value to a fertilized egg inside the womb, but maintain the attitude of asking a fully grown child to go to hell.

No, but I will sign a petition to put a sign (not necessarilly factual) in front of every thing stated by the heritage foundation

Illegals giving birth to a child in the U.S. qualifies them for the coverage, and that is not right.

Someone on FOX or the AM radio bloviators told them to. They dont need to know why, they neither care nor ask. They just do as they are told.

That child is a citizen. You cannot give something to one citizen and ban another from receiving it.

You'd want to work on the laws regarding birthright citizenship, rather than those that give health insurance to legal children.

Obama is not giving illegals health insurance.

They're qualified because the children are US citizens, and S-CHIP entitles certain US citizens to coverage. Your argument is with the 14th Amendment and/or laws implementing citizenship rules, not with S-CHIP.
