As a dog lover, I can not stomach how people are so in "love" with Sarah Palin and can mutter the words "charm" and anything positive towards her with policies such as aerial hunting.
Please see this video and more importantly...take action...send a message to her office online (less than a minute) and forward to your friends.

150 dollars for a severed paw is what Palin proposes.
How can somebody hate animals so much...and how can people not hold her accountable.
Hey,
If you get a chance....go this site. Watch the video, send a message, and forward this to other people. Sarah Palin is a ruthless ***** and people should see the other "side" or her "charm"

Sarah Palin is a milder version of Hitler...this is just so inhumane...and I say this as one of Jewish heritage.
Classy gal and state.

Maybe she's only trying to save all the sheep and cows grazing the lush green pastures in Alaska.

If that isn't her motive - than what is?

The wolves are overpopulated and a plane provides the easiest access to control their population (you obviously know nothing about Alaska, much of the state is nearly inaccessible without a plane). Funny how the same people crying about population control being done on animals are the same to complain it isn't being done on people.

And comparing having a handful of wolves killed to Hitler (fascist, responsible for genocide, mass murder, torture, a world war, destruction of a nation...) is absurd.

If you don't like AK, do us all a favor and never come up here.
And yes, there are reasons this is done this way as arctichomesteader states.

I thought nature was very efficient at balancing animal populations.

You think maybe the Alaskan wolves might be controlling the deer, elk, moose, caribou populations so efficiently that hunters have to leave their pickup trucks to score?

Yes let's worry about something like this when our country is being ravaged from the inside by our new government (Yes it wasn't much better with our last administration).

What makes you think nature is "very efficient" at anything, much less balancing animal populations?

Wolf populations continue to increase as long as there is moose and caribou in the area. As soon as the wolf population decimates the moose and caribou population, they begin to starve. They continue to starve to death until the wolf population reaches a sustainable level for the area.

These overgrown wolf populations threaten the livelihood of those living in the area. When the nearest road is more than 200 miles away, it isn't like they can jump into their "pickup trucks" and drive to the grocery store.

You typical lower-48ers are completely clueless about Alaska and wildlife in general. If your meat didn't come cellophane wrapped from grocery stores you pathetic fools would starve to death.

The wolves in Alaska are not the least bit "overpopulated." Even if they were, no responsible management plan would advocate, much less orchestrate, sending out volunteers to randomly shoot wolves from an airplane. Sheer insanity. And it will probably wreak havoc on the balance of several adjacent ecosystems. Predator control has to be done exceedingly carefully, or disruptions in the land pyramid result.

Sarah Palin, as I said in another thread on this subject, is a sociopathic individual, who is incapable of either compassion or of being educated.

When an entire caribou herd that once numbered in the thousands was on the verge of extinction because of wolf predation, and the wolves themselves were thin and disease ridden, I'd say the wolves were overpopulated. You have no idea what you're talking about. In nature there are opposing forces, not balance. An animal reproduces when food is abundant and gets overpopulated, wiping out the food source, then the animals themselves die off. Sometimes it leads to extinction, sometimes enough survive to repopulate the area, and the cycle starts over.

Most of Alaska does not have roads.
