I understand your opinion. Whereas I would say that he consciously knew he was breaking a law, by smoking a plant which is currently illegal. Consciously breaking the law would be a bad, immoral decision IMO.

The media is blowing this way out of proportion. They're acting like he murdered someone. All he did was smoke marijuana, which shouldn't be illegal in the first place.

You know what else is consciously breaking the law? Speeding. Even if you go over by one mile you are consciously breaking the law... I regularly speed but I would not consider it an immoral decision.

This does not mean I am all for smoking Pot.. Just making a point about breaking the law.. Most of us do it every day on our way to work/school.

The man is human (or superhuman). Anyway, if anything, it says to me that a marijuana user can be a winner!! If anyone says pot smokers are losers, I'll respond, "Oh, yeah? Whaattabout Phelps, eh?"

Check out my rep points: 420!! Coincidence?

Im so sick of this well he won gold medals so he is a good guy BS. He had a DUI and now we find out he smokes weed, sorry but this guy should go away. I find people who drive drunk to be disgusting selfish human beings. They put their own pleasure of getting drunk over risking lives of everyone on the road. Phelps can go to hell in my book.
