In times of economic turmoil.... with many people stretched to their eye balls in debt....

Look what comes out in theaters soon:

Confessions of a Shopaholic

It's all just so so bizarre.

I guess you don't understand that in times of economic turmoil, the public usually turns towards films to forget about their pain. It's been researched before....so, regardless of what you may think, I have no doubt that this film will do better than expected. Besides, the book is kinda cute.

It's also been researched that 85.5% of the American public has less intelligence then the average woodchuck.

Enjoy the movie.

I just think Hollywood is creatively dead. For every one new and creative movie that's done, mostly by low budget independants, you have ten or twenty big budget flops that just have nothing new to say. And they have the same stars in them over and over.
The writers are hacks. The actors are boring if they don't have good scripts. And TV, forget it.

Maybe the people working for movies are more talented than the studios want. But their assignment is to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
