93-year-old man had more than $1,000 in unpaid power bills.
BAY CITY, Mich. - A 93-year-old man froze to death inside his home just days after the municipal power company restricted his use of electricity because of unpaid bills, officials said.
See what happens when you don't build powerplants and transmission lines... But then again whats a few miserable human lives to the environazis...............
Such an awful story! Its too bad the electric supplier didnt look into his case further. It's too bad he had no friends or family. I guess death is the penalty for not paying your electric bill these days.

Whaaa?
In any case, it is a tragedy. I would at least expect them to work out some kind of payment plan. They knew it was cold outside. ****ing heartless.
::turns down thermostat so not to drive up the electric bill any further::
I love how they did this to this man and then say it was the neighbors' responsibility to check on him. Did anyone inform the neighbors that they would be doing this to the man? I don't see how they can pass off responsibility like that. Shameless.

Um yeah, has nothing to do with it. Nice try though.

You mean, the electric company who cut him off because he didnt pay his bill is an "environazi"?
I dont know how a power company in BAY CITY MICHIGAN could cut off anyone's power in the middle of a Michigan winter. B*tards.
Maybe this will lead to some sort of new rule.
