That is 4 cases- out of how many thousands and thousands that never wake up?? I read about people dying that have been in comas for 20 and even more years. A waste of money. And these people were not in vegatative state comas but rather unconsious with brain activity present:
Former police officer Dockery lay in a coma for more than seven years after being shot in the head in 1988 while on duty. When he awoke, neurologists explained that he had not been in a vegetative state but a twilight state of semi-consciousness.
How many more threads do we have to have about this article? It is an opinion piece with a lot of hyperbole. There are some links to the actual bill in some of the other threads on this topic. This is fear-mongering.

Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Republican Senators are questioning whether President Barack Obama’s stimulus bill contains the right mix of tax breaks and cash infusions to jump-start the economy.
Tragically, no one from either party is objecting to the health provisions slipped in without discussion. These provisions reflect the handiwork of Tom Daschle, until recently the nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department.

right now there are over 300 drugs in trial for the treatment of MS, not all drugs work on any one person, so you really don't give a crap if people with MS may not have access to these test drugs that may help their condition when the 5 on the market do not? where is this Democratic compassion I am always hearing about?
